In 2019, AJ Media filmed 15 Live wrestling events, From Breed Pro Wrestling in Sheffield, to Inout Wrestling in Northwich and Lucy Openshaws ‘Fight The Good Fight’ Charity show in Manchester, raising Money for Manchester Mind and Papyrus.
Whilst we have covered many live events in the past, wrestling was a totally different area for us to cover. Learning the entrances, moves and storylines to make sure we filmed the shows properly to promote the talent and atmosphere.
Filming for Breed Pro wrestling in Sheffield, we filmed their biggest show of the year ‘Starrcave’ in the Peak Cavern in Castleton. To say it was a once in a lifetime experience is an understatement.
We also had to keep with the demand of the industry, often turning around montages of shows within 24 hours and some matches within the same time. Then within a week we would have the full show available for VOD.
For Inout wrestling, we are filming two shows in 2020, a local Northwich promotion who have just started out.
‘Fight the good fight’ raised over £4,000 for Mind and Papyrus, a great charity event showing what the wrestling industry can achieve when everyone works together.
